Head of EM & Asian Fixed Income

Magda was appointed the Head of Global Emerging Market Debt and Asian Fixed Income at AXA IM in 2022. She is responsible for managing the team of EM Debt portfolio managers located in London and Paris, as well as managing our Emerging Market fixed income portfolios.

Magda initially joined AXA IM in 2005 as an emerging markets and fixed income strategist. She was a specialist covering Central and Eastern European countries where she developed strong macroeconomic expertise. In 2010, Magda became a portfolio manager in the Emerging Markets fixed income team focusing on emerging local currency markets. During her tenure, she also co-managed the Global Emerging Market Debt and Emerging Market Debt Short Duration strategies at AXA IM.

In 2015, Magda joined First State Investments in London as a Senior Emerging Markets Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. She then moved to Candriam as the lead manager of Emerging Market Debt Sustainable strategies as well as the Emerging Market Debt Total Return funds. In 2019, Magda was appointed the Deputy Head of Emerging Market Debt at Candriam, before returning to AXA IM in 2022. 

Magda graduated in Finance from Paris Dauphine University with a Masters degree in Asset Management. She is also a CFA charterholder.
